Andrew L. Bemish
Andy is an Estate Planning attorney practicing in Plymouth, Michigan and specializes in the areas of Estate Planning, Elder Law, Probate, Taxation and Corporate Law.
He was born in Livonia, Michigan and raised in Northville, Michigan. After graduating from Northville High School in 1978, Andy attended Eastern Michigan University. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in International Trade and German Language and Literature.
Andy attended the Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University College of Law) and graduated in 1987, with honors then began advanced study in taxation. He later received a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida Law School. He worked in the Tax Department at the accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand before entering the private practice of law. Andy co-founded the law firm of Bemish & Longe, P.C. with Jeffrey J. Longe. In 1997, Andy began A.L. Bemish, P.C. as a successor to the old law firm of Bemish & Longe, P.C.

Mr. Bemish has been licensed to practice law in Michigan since 1987, and is a member of the Taxation, Estate Planning and Probate sections of the Michigan Bar Association. Andy speaks frequently on related topics such as avoiding probate and estate taxation.
Dimitrios Papatheodorou
Dimitrios was born and raised in Cologne, Germany, and studied law at the Universities of Trier and Cologne. At Trier, he successfully completed the University’s FFA program (Fachspezifische Fremdsprachenausbildung). That’s a two-year introduction into the Anglo-American legal system and terminology. After graduating from law school in 2001, he worked as a “Referendar” (a mandatory part of German legal training) in several parts of the judicial system, including civil court, prosecutor, communal authority and an attorney. As part of his training, Dimitrios spent four months as an intern at A.L. Bemish, P.C. in early 2004. In the spring of that year, he received his final degree in law (equivalent to admission to the bar).
Dimitrios successfully completed a six-month special training in German tax law in 2005. Later that year, he set up his own private practice in the city of Cologne, where he concentrated on matters of civil law and general practice.
